Duty Roster

All toy library members must undertake around 2 hours toy library duty 3 - 4 times per year. Duty simply involves checking and counting toys at the returns desk and ensuring that toys are being returned clean and complete, and then stored in the appropriate location.

A duty roster is prepared quarterly and members are asked to select a suitable session day / date in each quarter.

The duty roster enables the library to significantly reduce costs. We are unable to open our borrowing sessions unless enough members volunteer for duty.

Duty also creates an opportunity to meet other parents and carers, and gives members access to popular toys that are borrowed as soon as they are returned!

Children are welcome to attend duty with you provided they are supervised.
