We have wide range of party toys, such as a mini rollercoaster, soft ball pit, mega blocks, an activity playground and children’s tables and chairs.

Our Mission & Vision

Manningham Toy Library is a not-for-profit incorporation run by a volunteer committee who employ a part-time Toy Library Coordinator.

We strive to provide good quality toys, puzzles, games, costumes and large toys that will assist children from around 3 months to 12 years of age to thrive and explore the world through play.

We offer flexible and affordable fees to families and carers to ensure that all community members can access high quality toys for children in their care.

Our Committee

We are always looking for new members to join the committee. The committee makes decisions about the every day running of the toy library, employs a part-time coordinator, helps choose new toys to purchase and runs events such as open days and messy play events. All members are welcome and encouraged to join the committee and get involved.

Why Join Manningham Toy Library

Manningham Toy Library

What is a toy library?

At a toy library you can borrow from a vast array of well-made toys that have been designed to support your child’s skill development and imagination. Toy libraries provide children with new toys every couple of weeks, saving parents money and keeping children from getting bored.

How do I borrow toys?

Once you are signed up as a member simply choose the toys you would like to borrow and take them to the checkout counter. The toy codes will be entered onto your membership. Members are encouraged to count their toys before leaving the toy library to ensure all toys are complete. Alternatively you can check your toys as soon as you get home and immediately notify us via email if any pieces are missing or incorrect.

How many toys can I borrow?

Depending on your membership, you may borrow 5 toys and puzzles/games up to 8 toys and puzzles/games for up to 3 weeks. Up to 2 extra toys may be borrowed for an additional fee of $3 each. You can renew your toys for 1 week using our online system.

How do I become a member?

You can sign up online by filling in the form here or visit the toy library when we are open and fill in the form in person. The coordinator will need to see your driver’s licence the first time you visit. Payment can be made via direct debit to our account or by cash in person.

How does the rostered duty work?

All members are required to undertake rostered duty 4 times per year (around 6-8 hours), this is how we keep our member fees affordable. Members are asked to choose suitable dates and times via their online login at https://mtl.setls.com.au. Duties are performed during open sessions and involve counting toys as they are returned and assisting in keeping the toy library tidy. Members can also choose to assist with events such as Open Days or Working Bees instead of assisting during open hours or volunteer by joining our Committee.

What else do I need to know?
